ZERO TRACK EXPERIENCE NEEDED, NEWBIES WELCOME FOR OT-LAPS
Open Track Laps at Palmer Series (OT-LAPS) is a half-day track program for all drivers. It allows people to drive their own car—at speed—on the racetrack.
Overview
OT-LAPS begins ~ 3 pm with a brief meeting for all drivers, followed by a touring laps optional session. The touring laps session permits drivers to see the circuit at street speeds (no helmets). The touring laps session is followed by a classroom session for the novice group while experienced & advanced groups are on track. The remaining sessions consist of each group alternately going out on track. Each session is approximately 20-minutes.
Driving sessions are based by experience level (novice, experienced, advanced groups). For the novice group (those with little or no track experience), classroom sessions and in-car coaching is available.

Instructors are available on a per-session basis at signup, or on request (subject to availability).
Novice drivers may wish to review theHPDE School page for more details about what to expect.
EXPERIENCED & ADVANCED GROUPS
Experienced & advanced drivers can expect 3+ sessions and 60+ minutes total track time. Drivers may go out in each other's sessions if car counts and track conditions permit.
