Get "schooled fast" by our drivers ed.
Our "Up-To-Speed" High Performance Driver's Education (HPDE) is one day program of classroom and hands-on training with an experienced instructor.
Classroom sessions focus on the basics:
- » Track etiquette: Use of flags, pitting in/out, giving point-bys, using you mirrors & eyes.
- » Driving basics: seat & hand position, hand & foot inputs, car/tire feedback.
- » Vehicle dynamics: Traction limits, weight transfer, friction circle physics.
- » Racing skills: Consistency, throttle steering, threshold braking, timing & visual focus.
- » Safety skills: What to do in a spin, "slow hands, fast feet."
For driving sessions, an instructor "rides shotgun" and gives guidance and tips and real-time feedback. Each HPDE student receives a minimum of four 30-minute on-track, one-on-one driver training sessions.
Requirements
You must have a drivers license, a car and DOT-rated helmet; you may rent a car & helmet if you need them.
