Learn "Fast" with a professional instructor
Our "Up-To-Speed" High Performance Driver's Ed is a one-day school of classroom training and driving sessions with a seasoned instructor.
Classroom sessions focus on the basics:
- » Track etiquette: Use of flags, pitting in/out, giving point-bys & use of mirrors.
- » Driving basics: seat & hand position, hand & foot inputs, car/tire feedback.
- » Vehicle dynamics: Traction limits, weight transfer, friction circle physics.
- » Racing skills: Consistency, throttle steering, threshold braking, timing & visual focus.
- » Safety skills: What to do in a spin, "slow hands, fast feet."
For driving sessions, your instructor "rides shotgun" for real-time, one-on-one coaching. Each HPDE school includes a minimum of four 30-minute track sessions.
Requirements
You must have a drivers license. And a car and DOT-rated helmet, or you may rent a car or helmet. Note: enrollment is capped; signup closes when the cap is met.
