Get "schooled fast" on the racetrack!
Our "Up-To-Speed" High Performance Driver's Education (HPDE) is one day program of classroom and hands-on training with an experienced instructor.
Classroom sessions focus on the basics:
- » Track etiquette: Use of flags, pitting in/out, giving point-bys, using you mirrors & eyes.
- » Driving basics: seat & hand position, hand & foot inputs, car/tire feedback.
- » Vehicle dynamics: Traction limits, weight transfer, friction circle physics.
- » Racing skills: Consistency, throttle steering, threshold braking, timing & visual focus.
- » Safety skills: What to do in a spin, "slow hands, fast feet."
For driving sessions, an instructor "rides shotgun" and coaches you with tips and real-time feedback. Each HPDE student receives a minimum of four racetrack driving sessions. A typical schedule is shown below.
Requirements
A drivers license, car and helmet is all you need; you may rent a car or helmet from us if necessary.
