New Garages & Curbing
|
The first garage building is going up. This prefab steel structure will have 26 garage bays for drivers and their vehicles. It is approximately 166 x 45 feet. It will be paved around the perimeter -- so vehicles never have to leave the asphalt.
This garage is located in the lower paddock adjacent to the tunnel entrance with a wide area around the perimeter to accommodate large tow rigs. The garage will have lighting, power outlets and WiFi Internet access.

The concrete footings and foundation have been completed (almost single-handed) by a very skilled and hard-working individual. Once the floor is graded to the required elevation, the steel framing and roof structure can go up.

A second garage/carport is in the works, which will provide additional protected parking.

Track Curbing
Apex and track-out curbs and rumble strips are being formed around the circuit using jigs and molds for their profile and surface texture. These curbs will define track limits and help prevent wheels going off track and debris coming on track.
The initial curbs will be formed at select corners and painted for visibility. Once the first curbs are done they will be tested to ensure they function in both directions, as intended.
A small crew can build a section of curbs in ~3 days, working through the off-season while weather permits.
